Zoning Out
When Amber Tamblyn
(ex-Emily, General Hospital) appeared in the season premiere of
The
Twilight Zone, she didn’t know she would be sharing the experience
with an old cast mate. “I’m
in the first half-hour, and Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas) is in
the
second half-hour,” she marvels.
“And
we didn’t know that until the premiere party when I saw him! God, does he
looks good – what else is new?
I
haven’t seen him since he left, which is strange because I see Jonathan
(Jackson,
ex-Lucky) at auditions all the time.
He’s
my audition buddy. But it was
good to see Tyler. And his
episode with Jason Alexander (Seinfeld) was amazing.”
Tamblyn was equally wowed by
another guest at the party.
“Forest
Whitaker (Panic Room), who is one of my favorite actors of all
time, hosts both episodes,” she gushes.
“I could not believe it.
He’s
such a sweet person. He’s got
this aura about him when you meet him. He’s
one of the most lovely human beings.” But
Tamblyn admits she was a little too starstruck in his presence.
“I totally made a dork out of myself,” she groans.
“I was like, ‘I gotta go to the bathroom. Bye!’”

GH Grads Enter The Twilight
Zone!
A pair of GH alumni are slated
for
guest-starring roles on UPN’s new The Twilight Zone anthology series.
Fist up: Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas) portrays a doctor who comes
face to face with Death in “One Night At Mercy,” the series’ premiere
airing Wednesday, September 18, at 9 P.M. EST.
Not to be outdone, Amber
Tamblyn
(ex-Emily) also is headed into the Zone. In the season’s sixth
episode,
titled “Permanent Record,” she plays a teen with troubles far removed from
young Ms. Quartermaine’s. “My
character is a bad-tempered, out-of-control punk rocker with tattoos and
body piercings,” Tamblyn tells Soaps in Depth.
“Typecasting?” she asks with a laugh.
But seriously, “this definitely is a different role from what I’ve
been doing. I had a
blast!”

titled “Evergreen” and it was the premiere episode of the series.
It aired along with Tyler’s.)
