Swinton
will star as a forensic psychologist opposite Amber Tamblyn's murder suspect
in
the indie feature "Stephanie Daley." Hilary Brougher will direct
the
film from a script she developed at the Sundance Filmmaker Lab. The story
centers on Swinton's character's investigation of a 17-year-old (Tamblyn)
accused of infanticide. The film is in production in upstate New York's
Catskill
Mountains. Brougher's first feature was 1997's "The Sticky Fingers of
Time," which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and
was
distributed by Strand Releasing.
